Waypoint Public moved into the corner space formerly occupied by the Linkery in North Park, CA and obrARCHITECTURE was hired to convert the space it designed for the Linkery into the bright, family friendly neighborhood gathering spot that now houses Waypoint Public.
While the Linkery sought to bring the inner workings of the kitchen out into the view of the patrons and use angled bartops to promote conversation, Waypoint Public provides a more communal and open experience. It has quickly become a hotspot in North Park and was voted as one of the top 10 best new beer bars in the US.
