The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank has hired obrARCHITECTURE to perform master planning services for their existing warehouse facility, including site planning services, building renovation design and expansion feasibility studies. As part of the master plan, we replaced on-site streets and driveways, enhanced landscaping, and added shade structures, seating, and signage. Building upgrades included expanding the cooler, improving chiller technology, creating a mezzanine, and expanding the warehouse for a Recycling Center. We developed an electrical plan and made interior and exterior improvements like new loading docks. Feasibility studies were completed for a multi-story parking garage with photovoltaic canopies on the east side. The project has been successfully finished.
