Built in 1889, the Ice House building originally provided ice to the Hotel as well as the whole island of Coronado. This renovation will host a museum that will showcase the rich history of the Hotel Del Coronado. Exhibits that will be permanently showcased here include: Memorable Events, Hotel Del’s Memories, Del Recreation, Legendary Guests, Hotel Heroes, and miscellaneous displays as well as a souvenir retail area. Additionally, some history will be expressed in their courtyard that will contain reclaimed bricks from the industrial buildings.
