Designed as a welcoming hub for coffee lovers in East Village, Bean Bar brings warmth and connection to the heart of the neighborhood. Located directly across from the new Central Library, this 1,100-square-foot café was crafted to create an inviting and comfortable space for the community to gather. obrARCHITECTURE provided the coffee service layout, interior design, and sidewalk café design, focusing on natural materials and a cozy atmosphere.

Warm wood countertops, a recycled wood accent wall with vintage marquee lighting, and polished concrete floors set the stage for a modern yet timeless coffee experience. The bar layout encourages interaction, allowing baristas to engage with customers from the moment they place their order to the final sip of their drink—fostering a sense of connection over every cup.
